The Himachal State Museum:
The Himachal State Museum is a cultural museum located in Shimla,in the Indian Himalayan state of Himachal Pradesh.
The Museum was established in 1974 in Inverarm, a house at the top Inveram Hill that during the British Raj was the hot season residence of Lord William Beresford(and frequently used for overflow guests at the Viceroy's house in Shimla,Peterhoff , which was smaller), and subsequently of Edwin Henry Hayter Collen and then Law. It was built out into a large Victorian house in the 1860s.The state of Himachal Pradesh acquired it to house the museum and renovated in 1973.
The Collection includes wood carvings,bronzes,archaeological artfacts,coins,Jewellery,Manuscripts,and paintings including many miniatures,postage stamps and weapons.
Gorton Castle:
Shimla prides itself with many colonial buildings and many of them are declared as heritage sites attracting travellers from all over Himachal Pradesh and far off places. These buildings showcase the creativity of the artists and designers of the colonial era. Most of these buildings were built inspired by the Neo-Gothic architecture.
Gorton Castle in Shimla is one such heritage monument that has blending of innovative minds intelligent craftsmanship. This castle was built more than a century ago and is still a popular tourist site of Shimla. This wonderful castle is now getting used as the AG office (Accountant General’s office) of the Himachal Pradesh.

Kali Ka Tibba Temple:
Kali Tibba Temple History is very intresting.It appears that there has always been a small struture at the top of this hill marking a place to worship the goddess Kali.Some say that the original struture was built in the 9th century AD by the then-king of Himachal because the godness Kali came to him in a dream and decreed he built it.
According to another story, the temple was created or enhanced by the 19th-century King of Patiala, who planned, designed and funded it in secret to avoid controversy and friction between different groups of religious devotees and sects.Back then, this was called the Sidh Temple and over time, it developed into a popular place of worship. It also became one of the 51 Shakti Peeth Holy Sites for Hindus dedicated to the Goddess Shakti. However, there were some problems as the site lies within the protected part of Chail Wildlife Sanctuary.
A priest or pujari of the Old Kali Ka Tibba Temple (or Sidh Temple) named Shanbhu Bharti helped develop the site, regularize it and create the new structure that stands there now. This included building a wall, a steep road to help people reach the temple and a pond or plunge pool where devotees can take a dip.

Virasat-e-Khalsa:
Virasat-e-Khalasa is a museum of Sikhism, located in the holy town, Annadpur Sahib of the state of Punjab India. The museum celebrates 500 years of the Sikh History and the 300th anniversary of the Birth of Khalasa, based on the scriptures written by the tenth and last human guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Bhakra Dam:
Bhakra Nangal Dam is a concrete gravity dam on the Satluj River in Bhakra Village in Bilaspur District, Himachal Pradesh in northern India. The dam forms the Gobind Sagar reservoir. Nangal Dam is another dam at Nangal in Punjab downstream of Bhakra Dam. However, sometimes both the dams together are called Bhakra-Nangal Dam though they are two separate dams.
The Dam is located at a gorge near the upstream Bhakra village in Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh and is of height 226 m.The length of the dam (measured from the road above it) is 518.25 m and the width is 9.1 m. Its reservoir known as "Gobind Sagar" stores up to 9.34 billion cubic metres of water. The 90 km long reservoir created by the Bhakra Dam is spread over an area of 168.35 km2. In terms of storage of water, it is the third largest reservoir in India, the first being Indira Sagar Dam in Madhya Pradesh with capacity of 12.22 billion cubic meters and the second being Nagarjunasagar Dam in Telangana.
The Masrur Temples:
The Masrur Temples,also referred to as Masroor Temples or Rock-cut Temples at Masrur,in an early 8th-century complex of rock-cut Hindu Temples in the Kangra Valley of Beas River in Himachal Pradesh, India. The temples face northeast, towards the Dhauladhar range of the Himalayas. They are a version of North Indian Nagara architecture style, dedicated to Shiva,Vishnu,Devi and Saura traditions of Hinduism, with its surviving iconography likely inspired by a henotheeistic framework.
The temples were carved out of monolithic rock with a shikhara, and provided with a sacred pool of water as recommended by Hindu Texts on temple architecture.The temple has three entrances on its northeast, southeast and northwest side, two of which are incomplete. Evidence suggests that a fourth entrance was planned and started but left mostly incomplete, something acknowledged by the early 20th-century colonial era archaeology teams but ignored leading to misidentification and erroneous reports. The entire complex is symmetrically laid out on a square grid, where the main temple is surrounded by smaller temples in a mandala pattern.

Namgyal Monastery:
Namgyal Monastery is currently located in Mcleod Ganj,Dharamsala, India. It is the personal Monastery of the 14th Dalai Lama. Another name for this temple-complex is Namgyal Tantric College.
In 1992,on the advice of the present Dalai Lama, Namgyal established an American branch in Ithaca,New York,Including within it the Namgyal Monastery Institute of Buddhist Studies. On 8 february 1996,the monks of namgyal Monastery's Institute of Buddhist Studies offered their first "Blessing of Cyberspace" as part of the "Twenty-four Hours in Cyberspace" event.
